Gilgit: An important meeting of Burusho Maʰraka, Gilgit-Baltistan cabinet was held today in Gilgit.

President Burusho Maʰrka, Advocate Wazir Shafi presided over the meeting.

The meeting hailed the successful publication of the first edition of the Burushaski Qaida. The adaptation of the common Burushaski script by the Burusho people was deemed a major achievement. 

In the meeting, it was approved that a grand opening launching ceremony of the Qaida will be organized in the Gilgit region as well. 

The establishment of the central office of Burusho Maʰrka was also approved.

Conducting training workshops for poets and other writers in Gilgit, Nagar, Hunza, and Yásin was pondered over, and a way forward was charted out so that writing in Burushaski script becomes a standard.
